Margaret June (Hoskins) KetchumApril 25, 1940 ~ August 5, 2017 (age 77)
Mrs. Margaret June Hoskins Ketchum was born April 25, 1940 to Delmer Jackson and Lucille Elizabeth Hoskins and passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017. She was raised in New Mexico and it was there that she met a young man in the Air Force from Tennessee named Daniel Edward Ketchum II. She was married at the age of 15. After having children in New Mexico, they moved back to Dan’s hometown of Dyersburg.
June was raised in a Christian home and was saved early in her life. She strived every day to focus on Christ and be a light to others. She was willing to discuss her faith and share the love of her Lord and Savior. She was fun loving, kind, and loved to tell a joke or reference something funny. She loved to play her piano, sing, and write music. She used these talents to glorify God.
Next to God, her family was most important to her. She was a caring wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother. Even during her struggles with her health and her trials of losing loved ones, She knew Jesus was in control and had peace that only He can give.
June was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter Beverly June, daughter Darlene, granddaughter Emily Bell, brothers Jack, Rex, and Ed Hoskins.
She is survived by her children: Daneen Ketchum, Danny Ketchum (Barbara), Suzy Dillahay (Neal); five grandchildren: Mike Bell, Davy Bell, Katie Clifton, Kellie Mayle, JD Bynum; ten great grandchildren: Josh, Courtney, Rae Ann, Miles, Canyon, Mali, Lizah, Mercy, Easton, and Savannah. She has one remaining brother Joe Hoskins of New Mexico.
She is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends whom she loved deeply.
Her family would like to say a special thanks to all her caregivers and those who have helped our family. We especially appreciate your prayers.
A Memorial Service to celebrate her life is planned on August 20, 2017 (Sunday) at the Christian Sabbath Assembly Church located at 1300 W. Shaffer Street in Dyersburg, TN. The Family will receive visitors at 12:00 pm. The Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with a reception to follow in the Fellowship Building.
The Family asks that donations be made in lieu of flowers to St. Judes, the American Heart Association, or to your favorite local charity.
