Bobby Jernigan

Mr. Bobby Lynn Jernigan age 81 of Bells, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023, in Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

He was born September 8, 1942, in Pemiscot County, Missouri to the late R.C. Jernigan and Willie "Tebe" Gilmer Jernigan. Mr. Jernigan retired from CO-OP after fifty years of faithful service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nelda Taylor Jernigan.

Survivors include his daughter, Catherine Carter (Jared Jones) of Bells; son Robert Jernigan of Bells; one sister and a brother, Diane Jernigan of Missouri and Calvin Jernigan of Lexington.

Serving as pallbearers are John Copeland, Jason Porter, Jeff Tucker, Timmy Ellington, Harry Adams and Timmy Reasons. Serving as an honorary pallbearer is Brandon Emison.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Jernigan will be conducted Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Bells First United Methodist Church with Renee Martin officiating and Ronnie Woods to speak. Burial will follow in Belleview Cemetery. The Jernigan family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from Noon until the service hour.
