Mrs. Carol Palmer, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was born on May 21, 1934 in Joplin, Missouri to the late Robert Kirkman and Florence Kirkman.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carol was preceded in death by  her husband, William E. Palmer; her son, William E. Blotter; brother, Bobbie Kirkman; and two sisters, Kathleen Kirkman and Phyllis Hughes.

She is survived by three daughters, Connie Shadwick of Missouri, Carolyn Whitcomb (David) of Kansas and Sonja Asher (David) of Sparta, Illinois; nine grandchildren, Heather Rodgers (Rick) of Baldwin, Illinois, Loretta Ubal (Bence) of Medina, Tennessee, Jesse Asher of Sparta, Illinois, Kayla Palmer of Sparta, Illinois, Kevin Asher of Maine, Dylan Asher of Sparta, Illinois, Angela Black (Seth) of Kansas, Shaney Dietrich (Tim) of Kansas and Sandra Whitcomb-DeTar (Joseph) of Kansas; many great grandchildren; and one great great grand daughter.

A graveside service will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with burial to follow where she will be joining her husband.
