Filomena Colón, age 93, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at her son's home in Jackson.

She was born on July 2, 1930, in Puerto Rico to the late Domingo Colón and Susana Cerezo de Rivera.

Filomena is survived by three sons, William "Willie" Ortiz and wife Robin of Jackson, Robert Ortiz and wife Susan of Cliftside Park, New Jersey and Eddie Plerqui of Cohoes, New York; daughter, Beatrice Quiñones and husband Sam of Wilton, New York; sister, Rosa Santos of Indiana; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
