James Carl Fisher, age 83, passed away on July 24, 2024, at NHC in Milan.
He was born on July 19, 1942, to the late Roy and Myrtle Fisher of Lavinina, TN. He served in the United States Army for two and a half years and worked for Bell South as a cable splicer for thirty-five years. He and his wife, Raedeana were the proud owners of Southern Pride Bar-B-Q for fifteen years. They took great pride in cooking for companies and members of the community.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy David Fisher of Forth Worth, TX and Thomas William Fisher of Costa Rica and daughter, Emily Fisher Corley.
He is survived by his wife, Raedeana Fisher of Jackson; daughter, Jayme Fisher of Nashville; two grandsons, Jameson Ridings of Nashville and Alston Corley of Jackson; and two siblings, Sylvia Fisher Crocker of Jackson and Robert Fisher (Tami) of Central City, KY.
James also leaves many nieces and nephews, Davila Nielson (Robert) of Waxahacie, TX, Jeremy Crocker (Kym) of Jackson, Nathaniel Fisher (Kristyn) of Pensacola, FL, Adam Fisher (Brooke) of Murray, KY; great nephews, Brady Nielson and Riley Nielson of Waxahacie, TX; great great nephew, Hammy Nielson of Waxahacie, TX; niece, Raquel Fisher of Costa Rica; and great niece, Liberty Rose Fisher of Pensacola, FL.
A graveside service will be held at Cool Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church in the Terry Community (Lavinia, TN) on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Robert Barger officiating.
In liue of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cool Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 240 Little Grove Rd. Cedar Grove, TN 38321 or an Alzheimer's organization.
