Mrs. Janie Borders, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was born on August 13, 1952 in Gibson County to the late Grady Simmons and Thelma Chumley Simmons.

In addition to her parents, Janie was preceded in death by her daughter, Christy Smith and three brothers, James Simmons, David Simmons and Rickey Simmons.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Borders of Humboldt; step son, Bryan Borders of Medina; sister Ann Jarnigan; two step grandsons, Austin Borders and Decklan Borders; and several nieces and nephews.
