Jimmie N. Nolen

Mr. Jimmie N. Nolen age 95 of Alamo, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023, in Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born August 18, 1928, in Crockett County to the late Lex Neal Nolen and Gracie Hopper Nolen. Mr. Nolen was a lifelong Alamo resident. He worked at Kellwood as a sewing machine mechanic and then an engineer. Mr. Nolen became a partner in Little King Manufacturing Company and later became the owner and CEO until he retired in 1998, at the age of 70. He enjoyed fishing, wood working, gardening and loved his family. He was a member of Alamo First Christian Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Nolen was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Nolen Duncan.

Survivors include his wife of forty-two years, Linda Puckett Nolen of Alamo; one son, Scott Duncan Nolen and wife Mary Ann of Lynchburg; five daughters, Gail Nolen Hart and husband John of Jackson, Sandra Nolen Butler and husband Scott of Cades, Alexis Nolen of Alamo, Rene' Harper Hughey and husband Gaylord of Texas and Carey Harper Sisson and husband Troy of Alamo. Other survivors include eleven grandchildren, Duncan Nolen, Jesse Nolen, Andy Lee, Nolen Lee, Ashley Strickland, Garrett Butler, Matthew Bolding, Jessica Emison, Alex Bolding, Chandler Sisson and Carli Branson.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Nolen will be conducted Sunday, December 10, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. at Alamo First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) with Pastor Doug Wede officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday at the Church from 3:30 p.m. until the service hour.
