Jimmy Montgomery

Mr. Jimmy Francis Montgomery age 85 of Bradford, formerly of Decatur County, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022, in NHC Healthcare in Milan.

He was born October 9, 1937, in Decatur County to the late Claude Elmer Montgomery and Lena Chumney Montgomery. Mr. Montgomery was a self employed truck driver with Martin Paving. He attended Hollyleaf House of Prayer Church when he was able as well as served in the Tennessee Army National Guard for several years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Montgomery; daughter, Michelle Shell; sister, Claudene Montgomery; two brothers, Eugene Montgomery and Ralph Montgomery.

Survivors include three sons, Jerry Wayne Montgomery of Jackson, Terry Lane Montgomery of Kentucky and Jimmy "BoBo" Montgomery of Jackson; sister, Robbie Lomax of Decaturville; brother, Clifford Montgomery and wife Pam of Bradford. Other survivors include seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Montgomery will be conducted Saturday, December10, 2022, at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Peace Chapel Cemetery in Decatur County at 2:00 p.m.. The Montgomery family will receive friends at Medina Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour at noon.
