Mrs . Kathleen Louise Dennington, age 100, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023 at the Tennessee State Veteran’s Home in Humboldt, Tennessee.
She was born on January 29, 1923 in Enid, Mississippi to the late John Press Newman and Annie Clyde Newman. She was a loving wife and mother with loving memories to forever hold in their hearts.
In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Dennington, Jr.; two daughters, Sandra Montgomery and Linda Benefield; five brothers, John P. Newman, Jr., Clyde Boyce Newman, William Fred Newman, George Eugene Newman and Jimmy Ray Newman; and sister, Willie Frances Sanders.
She is survived by her children, Gary Dennington and wife Linda of Millington, Mark Dennington and wife Nina of Cedar Grove, Belva Galloway and husband Joe of Brighton and Molly Murphey of Martin; sister, Mary Eloise Sanders of Aurora, Colorado; and grandchildren, Jan Humphrey, Julie Galloway, Jason Dennington, Charles Montgomery, David Montgomery, Brian Dennington, Natalie Dennington, Scott Benefield and Lindsey Murphey.
Other survivors include great grandchildren, Jessica Pickett, Jacob Pickett, Joshua Pickett, Kaitlyn Eldridge, Justin Skinner, Rachel Dennington, Blayn Dennington, Lillian Dennington, Skylar Stonecipher, Journey Dennington and great great grandchildren, Clayton Willis, Kylie Skinner, Jensen Skinner and Hudson Dennington.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, August 28, 2023 at the West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Memphis.
