Mr. Lawrence Black, age 61, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 at his home in Milan, Tennessee.

He was born on August 29, 1960 in Dyersburg, Tennessee to Clydell Black and the late Lawrence Black, Sr. Lawrence graduated in 1979 from Milan High School.  He was part of the winning team of the ‘77 football championship and was also inducted into the Gibson County Sports Hall of Fame. Lawrence loved riding motorcycles, cooking and music. He was a handyman who could fix anything, a great father, son,  brother and friend and he never met a stranger.

Lawrence is survived by his two sons, Lorenzo Black and his wife Ebony of Henderson, Tennessee and Travis Black of Milan, Tennessee; three brothers, Anthony Black and his wife Brenda of Milan, Tennessee, Jerry Black of Milan, Tennessee and Darius Black of San Diego, California; two sisters, Cynthia Ferguson and her husband John of Lexington, Kentucky and Mary Black of Milan, Tennessee; and two grandchildren, Lauren Black of Henderson, Tennessee and Jaiydan Johnson of Henderson, Tennessee.

A memorial gathering will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Monday, July 18, 2022 in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home.
