Margaret Towne, age 80, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024, at her home in Dresden.

She was born on May 23, 1943, in Weakley County to the late Milburn Thomas Vermillion and Alma Johnson Vermillion.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Howard Towne; four brothers; and 3 sisters.

She is survived by her two daughters, Jencie Arnold and husband Johnny of Paris and Wendy Workman and husband Scott of Dresden; two brothers, Hank Vermillion and Derl Vermillion; three sisters, Mary Calabrese, Jeanette Curd and Kathy Barlow; six grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
