Mr. Robert Gumm age 87, passed away at home, surrounded by family ,on April 24 ,2021.

1955, he married the love of his life, Ardena Hope Varney, and they were married for 66 years to the day. She is survived.
Mr. Robert Gumm was a Veteran of the Marine Corps where he served his country for several years. He worked for the FBI in Washington D.C as a fingerprint expert, He also worked for Ormet Corporation, Marietta, OH, and Amerace Corporation in multiple states; Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, Illinois, and Tennessee. He was a proud licensed pilot. His hobbies consisted of flying his own aircraft(s), treasure hunting with his wife with his metal detectors, traveling the USA and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Durward & Dora Gumm, two brothers; Durward G. Gumm Jr., Kenneth L. Gumm, and a sister; Bernice (Dolores) Rake.
In addition to his wife Ardena, he is survived by two daughters; Linda K. Zeiter (John) New Home, TX, Debra G. Gledhill (Dave Szalkowski) Toledo, OH, one son; Robert L. Gumm Jr., Jackson, TN. Also surviving are two brothers; R. Arlen Gumm (Judy), Marietta, OH, Ronald C. Gumm (Beth) Harleton, TX, Two sisters-in-laws, Margie Gumm, Gray, TN, and Bessie Gumm, King Charles, VA, and one brother-In-Law, Larry Rake, Marietta, OH.
He had four grandchildren; Kimberly A. Rivera (Rafael), Paul J. Gledhill (Sarah), Christie L. Hayes (Chad), and Abby Gledhill (Rob Miller). He had six great-grandchildren; Catalina Rivera, Wyatt Gledhill, Reagan Hayes, Jamison Hayes, and Avery Hayes.
There are no immediate services, but future plans are in the works.
