June 23, 1953 — March 30, 2024

McKenzie

Mr. Robert Price, age 70, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

He was born on June 23, 1953, in McLemoresville, Tennessee to the late Lawrence Lee Price and Irene Hillsman Price.
Robert loved to work in the yard and thoroughly enjoyed playing the guitar with his gospel band, The Gospel Lights. He graduated from Trezevant High School in 1971 and then attended Nashville Auto Diesel College.

Robert and Debra got married on June 7, 1975. Debra’s father had passed away the year before and then her mother passed in 1976, one year later after they married. Even though they had only been married a little over a year, Robert moved to Debra’s original home place and helped her finish raising her five siblings, Dalphene, Gequita, Daveeda, Shari and Odell, Jr. In 1978, Robert and Debra had twin boys and there quickly became nine people living at one residence. Robert was an extraordinary man or was willing to do what it took to take care of his family.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by two grandsons.

He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Debra Price of McKenzie; two sons, Wes Price and wife Jennifer of Huntingdon and Les Price of Milan; daughter, Lee Ann Howard and husband Bryan of Lexington; brother, Jimmy Price and wife Diane of Hendersonville; two sisters, Constance Simmons of McLemoresville and Vivian Lykes and husband Bernard of Atwood; thirteen grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Other survivors include many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In honor of Robert's request, there are no services scheduled at this time.
