Rosemarie Stanfill passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 19, 2024, at the age of 70, in Jackson, TN. Born on January 17, 1954, to her parents Walter and Marie Sherrod in Knoxville. She graduated from Holston High School, Knoxville, in 1972 then attended the University of Tennessee where she met her husband of 50 years Arthur (Butch) Stanfill. They were married October 10, 1973, then welcomed their only child, a daughter, Amber Marie on January 19, 1982. She was the apple of their eye.
Rosemarie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a great friend, loyal employee and hard worker. Her work experience included Head Waitress and Floor Manager for Baudo’s restaurant in Jackson where she worked for over 30 years. After Baudo’s, she managed the SAS store in Jackson for over 29 years. Rosemarie will always be fondly remembered for bubbly personality and sweet smile which allowed her to make lifelong friends and lasting memories with her customers.
She loved playing sports. Softball and Volleyball were among her favorites. Rosemarie excelled in both of these sports. Other hobbies included watching golf and Tennessee football. A huge fan of the Tennessee Vols she loved tailgating before the games with her family when she had the opportunity.
Rosemarie was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Rebecca Hunt. She is survived by her husband, Arthur Hall Stanfill (Butch); daughter, Amber Marie Mullins (Drew); grandsons, Jaden Mitchell, Jordan Stanfill and JT Mullins; great grandchildren, Houstyn Grace Stanfill and Brielle Austin Stanfill; sisters, Sandy Sherman (Phil) and Lisa Mills (Jerry); brother, Walter Sherrod Jr.; and brother-in-law, Steve Hunt. She will also be greatly missed by her loyal companion, “Pepper Dog” who sat by her feet all day every day.
A celeration of life will be held for Rosemarie at 6:30 P.M. on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at SoulQuest Church located at 38 Garland Drive Jackson, TN 38305.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until the serivce hour at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, Veterans Administration or the SoulQuest church.
