Steve Hays, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 in Jackson, Tennessee.

He was born on October 31, 1957 in Jackson, Tennessee to Norma Cox.

Steve was known as a generous and compassionate soul. He enjoyed the little things in life and spending time with his precious family.

He will be greatly missed by many- especially his daughter, Heather and son, Lee. And always remembered in their hearts.

Steve was preceded in death by his brother, Stanley Hays and grandparents, YR and Gertrude Singleton.

He is survived by his mother, Norma Cox of Jackson, Tennessee; son, Lee Hays and his wife Sophie of Oxford, Mississippi; daughter, Heather Johnson and her husband Clay of Medina, Tennessee; brother, Eric Cox and his wife Denise of Jackson, Tennessee; two sisters, Suzanne Williams of New Port Richey, Florida and Charlotte Cox of Jackson, Tennessee; and six grandchildren, Tatum Hays, McKenzie Maness, Wyatt Johnson, Case Johnson, Hutton Hays and Elyse Hays.

A memorial gathering will be held from 4:00 P.M until 6:00 P.M. on Monday, November 14, 2022 in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home.
