Tansy Williams Howell

Tansy Kathy Williams Howell, 52, of Bells, TN, died on Monday, March 25, 2024, at her residence.

Tansy was born on December 20, 1971, in Memphis, TN to Susie and Doug Lacy. She was lovingly adopted into the family of Emmett and Linda Williams of Bells, in June 1972, when she was six months old.  

Tansy was a hair stylist by profession and was co-owner of Creative Styles in Bells. She was a lifelong member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.  She also participated in the Bible Drill as a child. She enjoyed her grandchildren coming to visit, as well as hanging out with her friends.

Funeral services for Tansy will be conducted on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Cross Roads Baptist Church, with Josh Simmons and Roger Kirkland officiating. Burial will follow at Belleview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the on Wednesday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.

Tansy is survived by her daughters, Katie Davis of Decatur AL, and Keri Howell (Brandon) of Alamo, TN; 8 grandchildren Patrick Ritchie, Jalivia Grier, Jaliyah Grier, Tristan Jrue Grier, Javeyah Serenity Davis, all of Decatur AL and Emalee Thomas, Katie Thomas, and Tyler Thomas, all of Alamo, TN.   Her mother, Linda Williams of Bells; Her sisters, Tammy Baird (Andy) of Alamo TN, Tonya Kirkland (Roger) of Bells, TN; Tana Woods (Adam) of Bells, TN; four brothers, Donnie Collins of Texas, Arthur Lacy of Mississippi, Michael Lacy and Rodney Lacy both of Oklahoma.

She also has some special friends to mention:  Ann Jernigan, her caregiver, and Darren French, companion.

She is preceded in death by her father, Emmett Williams, her biological mother Susie Lacy Akey, her biological father Doug Lacy, and brother Curtis Lacy.

Pallbearers will be Ruste Via, Dave McLean, Tyler Thomas, Brandon Thomas, Andy Baird, Adam Woods, Braylin Johnson, and RJ Emison.
