Van Alan Heidelberg

 

Van Alan Heidelberg went home to his Lord and Savior on September 14, 2023.  
Born in Jackson, Tennessee on September 3, 1951. Alan lived a bountiful life in which he shared his talents as a salesman, bank fraud specialist, hardwood lumber inspector, music store owner, and musician.
 He relished playing music with his many friends, especially in Muscle Shoals, Alabama and as a member of the Gentrys.  

He carefully studied history and collected many historical artifacts, in addition to his robust collection of musical instruments.  

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Van LaVerde Heidelberg; his mother, Mary Nell Killough Heidelberg; and his two infant siblings.  

He is survived by his Aunt, Eula Heidelberg Jones; Uncle Jimmy Heidelberg (Kay); Aunt Jean Heidelberg Abide; and a multitude of loving cousins from each side of his large extended family.

 

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M . on Sunday, October 8, 2023 in Hollywood Cemetery in Jackson, Tennessee.

 

The family asks that memorials be made to Legacy Thrift Center of Bellevue Baptist Church to further the gospel.
