Mrs. Clara Hodgson, age 84, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was born on February 19, 1937 in Trezevant, Tennessee to the late Bennett Smith and Elsie Smith.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Hodgson and sister, Betty Pillow.

She is survived by her son, John Hodgson of Jackson, Tennessee; three daughters, Doni Phillips (John) of Texarkana, Texas, Linda Hodgson of Trezevant, Tennessee and Anita Lane (Mike) of Trezevant, Tennessee; two sisters, Lura Alice Phillips of Maryville, Tennessee and Judy Burrow of Germantown, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Thomas York, Andrew York, Madison Lane and Atticus Hedge Hodgson; and four great grandchildren, Calder, Marshall, Annalise and Beckett.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 P.M., Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Trezevant United Methodist Church with Jonathan Wheeler officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Trezevant United Methodist Church in honor of Mrs. Clara.
