Mrs. Dorothy June Petty Cathey, age 90, passed away in her sleep on the morning of Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Dyer Nursing Home.

She was born on February 18, 1929 in Gibson County to the late Jessie Isham Petty, Sr. and Virginia Shelton Petty.  Mrs. Cathey was owner and operator of Cathey's Restaurant for thirty years.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cathey was preceded in death by her husband, David C. Cathey, Jr; daughter, Marilyn June Cathey; two brothers, Jessie Petty, Jr. and Rev. Jack Petty; three sisters, Freida Rogers, Katie Baker and Frances Hayes; son-in-law, Horace Harper; and grandson-in-law, Randy Cole.

She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Harper of Trenton; sister, Doris Savors of McKenzie; two grandchildren, Tim Harper (Amy) and Lisa Cole; three great grandchildren, Brittney Cole, Jacob Cole and Shelby Frazier (Andrew);two great great grandchildren, Mykel Frazier and Addison Frazier; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 7, 2019 at White Hall Baptist Church Cemetery in Trenton, Tennessee with Brother Daryl Myracle officiating.
