Gail Craig

Mrs. Wanda Gail Craig age 80 of Bells, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 at her residence.

She was born June 16, 1940 in Bells to the late Oscar H. Bolton and Dorothy Dove Bolton. Over the years, she worked at Bells Banking Company, Bank of Crockett and Pictsweet and was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Franklin Craig and a grandson, Robert Craig Williams.

Survivors include two daughters, Rita Williams and husband Charles of Bells and Tami Wells and husband Joe of Jackson; brother, Glenn Bolton of Brentwood. Other survivors include, four grandchildren, Amy Mayfield and husband Dinker, Adam Williams and wife Haley, Rebecca Williams and husband Steve and Kirby Wells as well as three great grandchildren, Lexie Williams, Sawyer Williams and Cecily Williams; two step great grandchildren, Kristin Spotts and husband Ethan and Kaitlyn Mayfield and fiancé Hunter Green and one step great-great grandson, Jase Spotts.

The family would like to share their sincere appreciation to caregivers, Angela Couch, Suzie Cook and Sharon Hicks for their love, care and concern for Mrs. Gail.

Serving as pallbearers are Charles Williams, Adam Williams, Dinker Mayfield, Steven Williams, Joe Wells and John Edwards.

Funeral services for Mrs. Craig will be conducted Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Walnut Hill Baptist Church with the Pastor, Rev. Justin Moreland officiating. Burial will follow in the Walnut Hill Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org in memory of Mrs. Craig.
