Obituary

Mr. James Alton Teague, 80, of Humboldt, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday June 14, 2022,with his family by his side. Mr. Teague was born on January 27, 1942, in McNairy County to the late Clifford F. and Lela Rosson Teague.  

James was a loving father to eight children, thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was passionate about collecting vintage items like coke bottles, toy cars and old lamps/lanterns. He loved to use his metal detector to find treasures. We were blessed to make many special memories with him over his 80 years. James also had many lifelong friends as well as recent friendships that touched his life deeply. He will be missed by all.

He worked at Jones Manufacturing in Humboldt, TN for 27 years. After retiring from Jones MFG, he owned and operated his own rental property company.

James was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Lela, by his three sisters Edith Plunk, Ruby Rainey, Ruth Hill, and his brother Kenneth Teague.  He is survived by his daughters; Michelle Seay, Jane Teague, and Lorra Koop (Josh) of Humboldt TN, Leslie Dover (Jeremy) of Trenton TN, Melinda Kaler (Rob) of Lakeland TN, Melissa Davis (Kim) of Lake Cormorant MS, sons; Jimmy Teague of Trenton TN and Michael Milam of Milan TN; two brothers, JC Teague and his wife Dot of Medina TN, Billy Teague of Milan TN and sister; Boots Dunn of Humboldt TN.

There are no services scheduled at this time.  The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
