Mr. John Hicks, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 in Jackson, Tennessee.

He was born on October 2, 1937 in Stewart County to the late Basil Hicks and Zanie Josephine Hicks.

Mr. John is survived by his wife, Janice L. Hicks of Jackson; son, Gregory William Hicks (Jenna) of Jackson; daughter, Jency Montgomery (Bert) of Starkville, Mississippi; two sisters, Robbie Jackson of Dover and Judy Lancaster of Paris; three grandchildren, Rob Montgomery (Miko), Shannon Hicks and Daniel Montgomery; and one great grandchild, River Montgomery.

As requested by the family, a private funeral service for family and close friends will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 17, 2020 in the Chapel of Medina Funeral Home with Rev. Bert Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in McKenzie, Tennessee. A public visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Medina Funeral Home.

The family requests that everyone wear a mask and to practice social distancing.
