Audrey Lavetra Stanfill Cobb

Mrs. Lavetra Cobb, age 78, passed away on Wednesday September 1, 2021, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was born on August 7, 1943, in Jackson, Tennessee to the late James Walter and Helen Arnold Stanfill. Lavetra retired from the State of Tennessee Department of Health with 33 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother James Nathan Stanfill and brother-in-law Charles “Starr” Atwood.

She is survived by her husband James Cobb, sister Rebecca Atwood, daughter Angela Henley Nickel, granddaughter Candace Bean Case, stepdaughters Misty (Danny) Pickard, Heather (Patrick) Moody, and Lori (Joel) Walker. Along with 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held Thursday September 9, 2021, at 12:00 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Jackson, Tennessee. Family will receive friends at 11:00 until service hour.
