Mr. Paul Nelson, Jr., age 61, unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by his children, on Tuesday, December 21, 2021.

He was born on November 20, 1960 in San Fernando, California to the late Paul Ray Nelson and Mattie Sue Nelson.

Paul was a free spirit, hard working man who loved his family. He lived his life in the fast lane, breezing by on his Harley. Paul was a lifelong truck driver who saw more miles than most.  If you knew him, you were loved by him.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by three sisters, Lynda Kempton, Emma McCoy, and Phyllis Nelson and one grandson, Matthew Rush Kirk.

He is survived by his son, Paul Ray Nelson, III (Melissa) of Jackson, Tennessee; two daughters, Melissa Kirk (Matthew Chad) of Henderson, Tennessee and Cassie Rae Crossett (Tay) of Oakfield, Tennessee; sister, Paula Coleman of Waterford, California; six grandchildren, Riley Ray Nelson, Rosalee Nelson, Cullen Kirk (Lily), Carlye Kirk, Skyler Crossett and Brooklyn Bond; and finacè, Kristie Anne Hawthorne of Humboldt, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 26, 2021 in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Brownsville, Tennessee with Phil Lovelace officiating.

Serving as pallbearers: Paul Nelson, III, Skyler Crossett, Cullen Kirk, Chad Kirk, Tay Collier and James Sanders.
