Mr. Ray Murphey, age 90, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020 in Jackson, Tennessee.

He was born on April 12, 1930 in Clarksville, Tennessee to the late Clearence Raymond Murphey and Bertha Powell.

Mr. Ray is survived by his wife, Diana Murphey of Denmark, Tennessee; son, Victor Murphey (Shea) of Toone, Tennessee; daughter, Vicki Murphey of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and one grandson, Jake Murphey of Hickory Valley, Tennessee.

Mr. Ray served in the United States Air Force for 4 years as an air traffic controller and photographer. He also played football all throughout high school and continued in college at Austin Peay. Mr. Ray was a member of the Lions Club in Humboldt, Tennessee for twenty seven years and also was the past governor for the Lions Club.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, June 14, 2020 at the Jackson Seventh-day Adventist Church.
