Mr. Robert McCartney, age 79, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

He was born on September 12, 1941 in Gibson County to the late Floyd McCartney and Mary Harrison McCartney.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Irma Taylor.

He is survived by his son, Jeffery McCartney and his wife Tiffany of Jackson, Tennessee; daughter, Connie Chynoweth and her husband Todd of Wisconsin; sister, Libby Shepherd of Humboldt, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Alex, Noah and Josh Chynoweth, Shane McCartney and Tabitha Ponshe; and four great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
