Robert "Bob" Wood Kimberlin peacefully transitioned to the next life on July 11, 2019, surrounded by family in Jackson, Tennessee.  He was born in Springfield, Kentucky on August 29, 1939. Bob graduated from Centre College in Danville, KY, started his career in Louisville, Kentucky and later settled in Jackson, Tennessee.  He had many occupations throughout his life, from being an entrepreneur, a salesman, to being a substitute teacher at North Side High School.  He came out of retirement to become a parole officer and educated men on parole about domestic violence. Bob was known for his stories.  He was an avid reader and writer and he loved to help others, but most of all he loved his family. Even though he became a Vol fan, his heart was always with the University of Kentucky Wildcats.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Sean.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret "Maggi” Kimberlin of Jackson; daughter, Leslie(Joe) Hale of Louisville,Kentucky; son, Patrick Kimberlin of Los Angeles; granddaughter, Andrea(Michael) Lawrence; and three brothers, Roland(Kay), Ronald(Patti), and Dixie(Sherry), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held in Jackson and Nashville at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you make a donation in his memory to the charity of your choice.
