Mrs. Wilda Perkins, age 75, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was born on May 2, 1947 in Brownsville, Tennessee to the late Woodrow Eddlemon and Mary Lois Eddlemon.

Wilda was a cosmologist for the majority of her life, but later became a real estate agent. She was a member at Englewood Baptist Church in Jackson since 1999 where she enjoyed teaching  the divorce care class with her husband, Jim. Wilda also enjoyed played bunco with her “girls”.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Patsy Canaday and grandson, J.R. Rogers.

Wilda is survived by her husband, Jim Perkins of Beech Bluff, Tennessee; three sons, Van Holmes and his wife Mary of Jackson, Tennessee, Jamie Perkins of Wynn, Arkansas and Justin Perkins and his wife Desiree of Oakland, Tennessee; and one daughter, Elizabeth Evans of Jackson, Tennessee.
Other survivors include three sisters, Martha Hopper and her husband Kermit of Dresden, Tennessee, Peg Ramsay and her husband Dick of Jackson, Tennessee and Joy Eddlemon of Welches, Oregon; seven grandchildren, Heather Rogers, Morgan Holmes, Luke Perkins, Jacob Perkins, Preston Evans, Max Evans and Stella Evans.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Englewood Baptist Church with Pastor Brent Lay officiating.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. until the service hour at the church.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Gideons International in memory of Mrs. Wilda.
